Rose is an orphan raised by a single mother in a family of three siblings. Her mother along with the children suffered for a very long time from mistreatment by her husband. Even before his death from HIV/AID, life was so hard and they decided to go live with a relative who unbelievably tried to poison them. Roses’ mother then took her children and started depending on neighbors and churches for support for shelter, food and clothes. The children were not able to attend school. One of the neighbors who used to help them with shelter took Rose’s mother to the area Chief and was directed to The Cana Rescue Centre, Rose was by then seven. Compassion for Africa began supporting Rose wit education and her basic needs.

Rose is currently fifteen years old in Form 2 at Gathirimu Secondary School. Rose loves singing and organizing. She dreams of becoming a Doctor.
