CFA Quarterly – January 2011

Dear Compassion For Africa Sponsors and Friends,

Happy 2011 to all of you and a huge thank you from CFA for all you are providing for these wonderful children in Africa. This Christmas we were able to send money for each child to have a Christmas gift. What a blessing to be able to give gifts to these kids.

The students in the boarding school are really doing well and five more have passed their entrance exams and will begin boarding school the end of January. These five girls, Marion Ondisa, Prisca Onea, Merab Khayeli, Cynthia Akinyi and Carol Ndanu are the girls who will be starting boarding school this month and are from Cana Rescue Center. These girls join the 8 other CFA kids in boarding school this year. We have 2 students in boarding school from KINS Redeemer, 9 from Cana Rescue Center and 2 from Judah Care Home. This is amazing!! God continues to lay on people’s hearts the needs of these children as we had three large gifts come in that will help us pay for their boarding school fees. We share this so you can rejoice with all of us at CFA.

Thanks so much to all of you who have given and we thank the Lord for His continuous provision through the body of Christ! None of us can do this alone, but together, with these wonderful pastors and their staffs, we are providing a loving home and church, education, food, medical supplies, spiritual training and a sense of community with the body of Christ.

We are also celebrating our new website developed by Joel Graves. Go to compassionforafrica.us  and check it out. Please share this site with friends and family who may have a heart for kids in Africa. A huge thanks goes to both Joel and his dad, Pastor Rick Graves of Grace Community Church for loaning Joel (on staff at the church) to CFA for this project.

I just talked with Rick and Terry Emerick via Skype and they, along with Elisabeth Muturi, just visited Cana Rescue Center and got to see all the girls, even those home from boarding school. Everyone is doing fantastic. I am including some pictures for you to see. News from Judah Care Home and KINS Redeemer Home all reports that the kids are doing well and were also very appreciative of their Christmas gifts.

Hope you and your family are well and we ask God to bless you all this 2011!

Thank you again,

Ramona Wilson & CFA Leadership Team
