Antonett was orphaned after the death of both parents to T.B. complications resulting from HIV/AIDS. Although her brother attempted to care for her, his inability to secure work often forced them to go days without food. Desperate, her brother was led to seek help for Antonett, at the Cana Rescue Centre. Compassion for Africa thus took her into their sponsorship program where she receives support for basic needs, housing and education.
Antonett is now fifteen, and in Class 8 at Kings Primary School.
Antonett is looking forward to the opportunity to attend Junior Secondary School, and hopes to attend College to become a Lawyer.
