Diana Wanjiru

Diana~ 8~10~13 is twelve years old.  Diana was found by a good Samaritan wondering on a very busy highway asking people for food. She was then taken to the police station in Nairobi for further investigation. The State Department began tracing her parents and found that she was an orphan and had been left with an alcoholic Auntie and Uncle, who were also unable to care for their own children.  The Children’s Department brought Diana to Cana Rescue Centre, who took her into the warm home and fed and clothed her. Compassion for Africa has come along side Cana Rescue and sponsoring all her needs, education, counseling, with the love of a family.

Because of the lack of schooling Diana was placed in the second grade with much younger children. When a loving Pastor at the church asked the headmaster to test Diana’s aptitude, they found she was capable of so much more. She has since been promoted to the fourth grade along with her age mates.

Diana is adjusting well to the fourth grade and is a delight in the classroom.
