Mercy joined The Cana Rescue Centre when she was an infant. She was left at the Centre’s door by an unknown person. The House Mother who was in charge woke up and when she was opening the gate, she found a baby wrapped up in blankets. The incident was reported to the local area Chief who made the decision to entrust the baby’s care to Cana’s custody. The infant was then given the name of Mercy, and her birth date as the arrival at her new home. Compassion for Africa has been sponsoring Mercy since, and providing for her needs, education, and a good future.
Mercy is now seven and in grade two at Cana Kings School, she loves acrobats, drawing, and has yet to determine what she aspires to be.
