When Shamira first came to KINS Redeemer Children’s Home her speech had yet to become clear. She is the third of four siblings. Her father died of AIDS and her mother is HIV+. After the father’s death her mother left their rented home, which she could no longer pay for, and went to live with her old grandmother. Shamira’s mother has since died as her health gradually worsened. Compassion for Africa began sponsoring Shamira at the KINS Home financially supporting her needs and education.
Shamira is currently attending college and studying to be a plumber. Shamira is humorous and loves to dance and play cards.
