Shatilf is an eight-year-old girl who joined Cana Rescue Center in March of 2024. Her date of birth is unknown. She was rescued from an alcoholic mother and her abusive boyfriend. On the day Shatlif was rescued, she and her mother had come to the Cana Hospital seeking medical attention after her mother was battered by the boyfriend. The bloody altercation that Shatlif witnessed was not the first, Cana staff knew they must intervene. Cana Rescue Center is now her new home, and Compassion for Africa has found a loving sponsor who will provide for all of her basic and educational needs. Shatlif is now enrolled in the 3rd grade at Cana Kings Primary.
